New research by the Centre for Migration Control reveals that 1,497,774 individual migrants claimed Universal Credit between January 2025 and December 2025.
I am a migrant, now a British citizen. When I came here my passport was stamped in large letters "No recourse to government funds". My visa was only granted after my family had proved we could support ourselves unaided. We were so far down the waiting lists for a state school place my entire salary went on private school fees for junior, so we got by on one income. We were not eligible for child benefit. Nothing. My medical bills were sent to my home country under a reciprocal arrangement. When I got Indefinite Leave to Remain I became eligible for the NHS. But only after years of paying tax and NI. Then the one time I was unemployed for a few months I got nothing. I was not entitled to a penny until I became British.
So HOW are all of these people claiming all these benefits? What's the loophole? And how do we close it?
I really really object to having pay more taxes to cover benefits for these migrants who are in my view are not entitled to them. Only people who have paid sufficiently into the system should get them and then only if they have a serious disability or as a short term benefit if they have lost their job until they find another one. This b……..y govt is the pits - the Benefits party certainly not the Labour party.
We cannot sustain this. At some point the money will run out and we won’t be able to borrow anymore to keep the cycle going - that’s when the real civil war will start. Watch what happens when people begin to go genuinely hungry and homeless. Politicians need to get their heads out of their arses and start to realise this.
They come specifically to claim those benefits. There are taxpayer funded people who are waiting to help them apply for benefits. Leaflets are published in so many languages making it easier for them to make claims.
As soon as benefit office staff see them, they will do anything and everything possible to help them.
